The speaker of the 54th National Legislature Dr. Bofhel Chambers is urging the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission to practice what he called equity, transparency, accountability, and professionalism in the discharge of its duties.

According to Speaker Chambers, PPCC as an integrity institution that positions itself to curb fraud, waste, and corruption must fairly and equally execute its responsibilities with passion and diligence adding the commission must work with Government line Ministries and Agencies.

Dr. Chambers said commissions at PPCC must be reminded that their duties are not to procure, curb fraud, waste, and corruption but to goods, services, and regulations on behalf of the government of Liberia as such it must demonstrate a high level of professionalism in the biding process.

 The Maryland County Electoral District # 1 lawmaker pledges his commitment to working with the authority of PPCC aims to enhance its work particularly by providing support for the smooth function of the entity.

At the same time, Dr. Chambers express delight to found part of the three days Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) third annual procurement forum.

Meanwhile, Pro-term of the Liberian Senate, Albert Chie has expressed grave concern about the situation between the National Election Commission, Liberia Anti-corruption Commission, and the General Auditing Commission over NEC’s alleged involvement in renting thermometer for over hundred thousand United States dollars doing the just ended Representative by-Elections.

According to Senator Chie, Commissioners at the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission must coordinate with National Election Commission, Liberia Anti-corruption Commission, and the General Auditing Commission for a smooth investigation into the matter while cautioning PPCC that they are liable to the people of Liberia.

Senate Pro-term Albert Chie lauded the PPCC for the three days forum which according to him seeks to adopt policies that will enhance the workings of the institution, indicating that the National Procurement program has come a long way.

The Grand Kru Law Marker started that Liberia is beginning to know the importance of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission by the numerous contribution it has rendered to all Liberians over the years. He noted that the Liberia senate has taken note of some emerging situation that exists at the PPCC especially the recent NEC indictment by the General Auditing Commission.

The Senator from Grand Kru County made these comments at the start of the third annual procurement forum in Monrovia organized by the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission.
