Monrovia, Liberia – Darius Randell a Liberian-born professional soccer forward has signed for Minnesota United first-team. The deal is part of a 2025–2026 contract that includes a homegrown player clause with club options to sign for 2027 and 2028. . He started his youth career with Boreal FC in Ramsey after moving to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, as a child.

He was born in Monrovia, Liberia, on August 25, 2007. After switching from defense to forward, he joined the Minnesota United (Loons) program in 2022 at the U15 level and progressed to the U17 and U19 squads.
In a 2025 U.S. Open Cup victory over Louisville City, Randell, the 17 years old, became the youngest player to score for Minnesota United’s first squad. He was selected as a 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star, received short-term and full first-team contracts in 2025, and signed a homegrown MLS NEXT Pro contract with MNUFC2 in August 2024 (33 appearances, 3 goals).

At 6’0″ and 160 pounds, he made his MLS debut against the LA Galaxy and is still growing under coach Eric Ramsay. The 2026 MLS season first team lineup for Minnesota United FC includes a mix of new players with guaranteed contracts after 2025, returning veterans, and young players like attacker Darius Randell.
