2025 National Basketball League Resume with thrills, shocks, and dominance.

Monrovia, Liberia – Over the weekend at the SKD Gymnasium, the 2025 National Basketball League came alive with an exciting schedule of games, unexpected surprises, and outstanding performances in every division.

One of the greatest surprises of the weekend occurred in the Men’s First Division category, as the recently promoted Highway Kings defeated the defending champion NPA Pythons in a close match.

In what is already being regarded as one of the season’s most dramatic matchups, the Pythons lost 60-59 despite moments of excellence. Given how unpredictable their campaign has been, the setback negatively impacts NPA’s hope of making the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the red-hot LPRC Oilers extended their unbeaten run with a ruthless 92-29 demolition of the struggling Commissioners. Now that the Oilers have won all seven of their games this season, they are solidly in the lead and a serious contender for the championship.

In other news, Invincible Eleven (IE) suffered yet another crushing loss, this time against their debutants Spartacus. The problem for the once-proud team worsened as the newcomers easily won 64-33, inflicting IE a humiliating 31-point defeat.

There was lots of excitement from the Second Division as well. Royal Legends was easily defeated by King George Knights, who won 65–35. The 72nd Wildcats defeated the Bushrod Ballers 55-54 in a dramatic finish in one of the round’s tightest games.

In another difficult match, Global Pythons defeated Sac Base 63-57 after a fierce battle. Fans can anticipate even more thrilling games and high-stakes drama in the coming weeks as clubs from all divisions continue their pursuit of greatness as the postseason races start to heat up.
