    Stop Drugs Addition Morlu tells Young people

    The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Chairman Mulbah K. Morlu has called on young people in the country to desist from drug addiction and take advantage of capacity building as the growth and development of the country lies in the hands of the youthful generation.

    Chairman Morlu said the issues of drug addiction and violence by young people across the country is alarming as such, there is a need to mitigate these challenges holistically. He added that young people should focus and acquire technical and vocational training skills as a means of generating income that will enable them to be entrepreneurs.

    Morlu stressed that when young people are engaged in acquiring technical and vocational training, they will not run after politicians for handouts on a daily basis.

    He told the gathering that the issues of substance abuse should be fought in every home, Community, county, and  Religious group as such, politicians should not politicize the situation. Mr. Morlu noted that the fight is intended to save future generations nothing that the substance users are causing insecurities and tarnishing the country’s reputation, Liberia is the only country we have he narrated.

    The CDC, Chairman expressed that over the years supporters of the party especially the young people have not had much opportunity for supporters and sympathizers of the party to benefit from technical and vocational training. He expressed joy for the establishment of the technical and vocational training institute. Morlu described it as laudable for all young people across Montserrado County.

    He used the occasion to inform the public that the vocational training center decentralization process is pending every counties youth and young adults will have an experience from such training shortly. According to him, the Munah  Pelham Youngblood Institute of technical and vocational studies is open to the general public, and officials of the CDC will purchase three (3) Buses that will Transport  Students and Staff on campus.

    New Technical Building

    Due to the national emergency on drug addiction, the government of Liberia recently launched the National Fund Drive for The Rehabilitation and Empowerment of AT-Risk Youth across the country.

    The 13.9 million United States Dollars Fund Drive will aid in the reduction of the number of AT-Risk youths in the country. Chairman Morlu made the accession Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Headquarters of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in Congo Town at the official delegation ceremony of the Munah Pelham Youngblood Institute of technical and vocational studies.
