    Africa New Stars Sports Academy under 12 crown winner of Western Area Football Association International Youth Championship

    Africa new stars sport Academy U12 defeated Sierra Leone’s Real Mack FC under 12  9-8 in a post-match penalty on Sunday, December 19, 2021,  to win the Maiden edition of Western Area Football Association International Youth Championship.

    The regular time of played ended goalless which caused the match to be determined on penalties shoot out. The championship took place in Freetown, Sierra Leone with eight clubs from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone featuring both their under 12 and 15 respectively.

     Africa new stars sports Academy was the lone Representative from Liberia participating in the tournament. Their under 15 bowed out of the competition earlier as the result of poor performance, but the under 12 ensure victory for the people of Liberia.

    Ope Dorley was voted as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the U12 and also won the Man of the Match award for the U12 during the grand final while Emmanuel Banda was also voted as the best goalkeeper for the U12.

    Africa new stars sports Academy was awarded the best playing team award following the end of the tournament. Meanwhile,  United Eagles FC under 15 won the U15  category of the competition. They also defeated Oxthodox FC under 15 5-4 in penalties shoot out following a zero-all draw after regular time of play.
