Amb. Boakai testifies to CPP Document in court

Unity Party political head Joseph Boakai has stated that he never signed the CPP framework document that Alexander Cummings gave to the NEC.

Former Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai said that Alexander Cummings’ CPP framework document, which was presented to the National Election Commission, was not the original document signed by him, terming it a photocopy.

On Monday, May 16, 2022, Liberia’s former Vice President Amb. Boakai, the prosecution’s fourth witness, testified that the document signed by the CPP’s four political parties was in its original form.

He noted that one copy of the signed paper was to be in the position of the NEC, while four copies were to be circulated among constituent parties. The Unity Party standard-bearer further claimed that the Unity Party has not received its copy of the framework paper since the signing event on May 19, 2020.
