Ambassador Yin Highlights Progress on China-Liberia Bong Mine Project

Bong County – The infrastructure and production development of the China-assisted Bong Mine Project is progressing steadily. The Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Mr. Yin Chengwu, highlighted this development during a working visit on Sunday. He examined the site and emphasized the project’s dual importance in promoting bilateral cooperation and stimulating economic activity.

The current stage of the project’s implementation was thoroughly explained to Ambassador Yin and Counselor Zhang Yimin. He saw firsthand the concrete outcomes of the partnership by touring important operational areas, such as the production lines and recently constructed port facilities.

The Ambassador stressed that significant local value is being created by the project’s forward pace. He notably cited the creation of 560 employment for Liberian citizens as a key accomplishment, highlighting the partnership’s direct impact on community skill development and livelihoods.

In order to establish a model for mutually beneficial collaboration between China and Liberia, Ambassador Yin expressed the hope that the company will continue to emphasize worker safety, abide by rules and regulations, fulfill its social duties, and steadily advance project implementation.

The ambassador’s visit was appreciated by the company’s representative, who also stated that the company will diligently complete all of its tasks. They pledged to guarantee efficient and high-quality production and to use tangible measures to showcase the favorable reputation of Chinese businesses.
