Monrovia, Liberia – Prior to the 15th Ministerial Conference, which is set for December 11–13, 2024 in Monrovia, Hon. Emma Metieh Glassco, Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, paid a visit to the Fisheries Committee Secretariat for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) in Tema, Ghana, on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Madam Glassco met with FCWC Secretary-General Dr. Antoine Gaston Djihinto and his staff to examine and approve the budget and list of participants for the 15th FCWC Conference of Ministers, according to a dispatch from Accra, Ghana.

During the meeting, Madam Glassco confirmed that Amb. Joseph Bokai, the president of Liberia, would be attending the conference.

“I hope all six of the region’s Ministers will be present at the conference to make important decisions for the future of fisheries in the Gulf of Guinea,” she said, thanking the FCWC personnel for their commitment to fostering regional collaboration.

Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, and Togo are among the six West African nations that are members of the Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC), a regional fisheries organization.
