ArcelorMittal Liberia, LFA Ends 2024–2025 AML Cup in Bong

Gbarnga, Bong County – The 2024–25 AML Cup was concluded with excellence on Sunday, December 7, by  ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) and the Liberia Football Association (LFA). The competition was place in the three concession counties of Nimba, Bong, and Grand Bassa and featured teams from 21 districts.

The competition’s theme was “Inspiring Youth Development to Transform Communities Through Sports,” and District #8 of Nimba County emerged victors, defeating Bong District #6 2-0.

This year’s edition was a momentous occurrence. AML’s partnership with the LFA resulted in an amazing competition that provided local athletes with a safe environment to showcase their talent, sportsmanship, and sense of community.

The LFA thanked AML, the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL), the Nimba, Bong, and Grand Bassa sub-associations, and all participating teams for their cooperation in making the event a success.

The partnership creates a platform for potential projects with the goal of improving football in every way. As always, AML promised to promote young talents for the development of Liberia.
