The National Election Commission has announced that since the announcement of the first tallied result on June 30, 2022, from June 28, 2022, Lofa County Senatorial By-Election, there have been attempts by some unknown persons wanting to hack the public service information of NEC website. According to an NEC released on Saturday, June 2, 2022, the intention of the hackers is to distort the information and spread misinformation to the public about the results of the just-ended Lofa County Senatorial By-Election.
