Monrovia, Release-President George Manneh Weah signed Executive Order #111 exempting the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) from paying Customs Duty on GST Generation, Transmission, and Distribution equipment, materials, and fuel. In an effort to drive national rehabilitation and growth, Mr. Weah recently signed Executive Order #111. Liberia’s new chief Justice Sie-A- G. Yuoh is recommending 100% female justices on the Supreme Court bench. According to Chief Justice Yuoh, her ascendency to the position of Chief Justice is the third time the Supreme Court had a woman serving as Chief Justice within 175 years of independence. Ahead of the general and presidential elections in 2023, one Liberian was killed at the National Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recently concluded primary. It has been verified by Chief Cyril Allen, one of the NPP’s founding members, he added that Vice President Jewel H. An international nongovernmental organization, the Keyera Gift, has awarded scholarships to over 155 students at the cost ofUSD$ 110,000 in five counties in Liberia.
