One police officer has been killed in the capital of Guinea-Bissau, a resident of Bissua has told BBC Focus on Africa radio. According to BBC, It follows reports of gunfire near where President Umaro Sissoco Embaló and Prime Minister Nuno Gomes Nabiam were having a meeting. The resident told Focus on Africa that the firing had now subsided and had actually occurred at a ministerial building, not the presidential palace as had been reported. photo credit: google.com
Reports231 has independently established that the loan agreement between LISCR FC and Liberian defender Jeremy Saygbe with Real Balompedica Linense has officially come to an end. According to the official information on the club website, the loan ended on 30 January 2022. Heavily-armed men surrounded the Palace of Government, where President Umaro Sissoco Embalo and Prime Minister Nuno Gomes Nabiam were believed to have gone to attend a cabinet meeting. The Palace of Government is on the edge of the capital close to the airport. Mali’s military authorities has asked the French ambassador to leave the country with in a 72-hour deadline announced Monday. The French ambassador, Joel Meyer was summoned earlier Monday by the West African country’s foreign ministry and instructed him to leave for a “hostile and outrageous statements” by the French authorities that is targeted at the junta government, a military spokesperson said in a statement.
