    Barrolle proves supremacy in traditional rivals; as they defeat IE 76-55pts

    Brian Nyangbe scored 25points, two rebounds and four assists as Mighty Barrolle walloped Invincible Eleven or IE by 76-55 points in a traditional rivalry of the 2022 National Basketball 1st division championship.

    This result means Barrolle secured their fourth win in five matches of the big six components of the league to set the stage for their title defense.

    The match took place on Sunday, at the SKD basketball Gymnasium in Paynesville.

    They dominated the entire match from the first quarter up to the last quarter to produce their third straight victory over their traditional rivals.

    They won the 1st quarter 12-10 points,
    2nd quarter, 37-25points, 3rd quarter 55-40 points, and 4th quarter 76-55 points.

    Despite the defeat, IE has already confirmed her place in the big four categories alongside, BushrodIsland based, Bushrod Bulls, NPA Pythons, and league defending champions, Mighty Barrolle.

    They won three out of five matches in the big six components losing to Mighty Barrolle and LPRC Oilers but produced wins over NPA Pythons, Cestos Mogars, and Bushrod Bulls.

    For their part, NPA Pythons won just two matches in five games to qualify for the big four categories. They lost to Bushord Bulls, IE, and Mighty Barrolle but managed wins against Cestos Mogars and LPRC Oilers to qualify on the head ahead between them and Oilers.

    However, LPRC Oilers still have a game to play against Cestos Mogars but statistics have proven that they are out of this edition of the competition following their painful 73- 82 points defeat to NPA Pythons on Friday, 12 August. Oilers’ only win in the big six came against IE by 70-73 points.

    Bushrod Bulls have been the best performing club in this edition of the league from the first phase up present, they have proven to be a serious title contender. The “Bulls” as they are called by their supporters, handed a defeat to the bigger boys in the league.

    The Islanders collected four wins in five matches in the big six as well. They produced wins over LPRC Oilers, Mighty Barrolle, Cestos Mogars, and NPA Pythons. Their only defeat was a marginal 73-72 points lost to IE.

    Cestos Mogars were the only points, donors, in the big six. They lost every match they played in the big six with more than 10 points margin each.
    They and Oilers still have a game to play as an outstanding.

    Meanwhile, defending female Champions, Commissioners whipped the Invincible Eleven female squad by 82-49 points on Sunday while Highway Kings foil felted to Sacebase in the male 2nd division.
