Boakai Host Liberia Diaspora Conference in U.S. Today

Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai is set to host the Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference in Washington DC, United States of America, from September 26–28, 2025. The three-day event is anticipated to bring together international partners, government representatives, and Liberians from all over the world to talk about investment prospects, national development goals, and the diaspora’s contribution to Liberia’s reconstruction.

The conference will give diaspora Liberians a forum to share resources and ideas for sustainable development, good governance, and economic prosperity, according to the Office of the President. President Boakai will give the keynote lecture during the event, outlining his administration’s goals for inclusive governance and collaboration with Liberians overseas.

Over the course of the year, the Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference has been an essential platform for fostering closer relationships between the government and its residents living overseas and rallying support for domestic initiatives.

With breakout sessions devoted to policy discussions and cooperative tactics, this year’s event is expected to concentrate on investments in infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, and youth empowerment.
