Monrovia, Liberia – Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung has received recognition from President Joseph N. Boakai for his outstanding work in Liberia. Vice President Koung received the Grand Band of the Order of the Star of Africa from President Boakai during the 177th Independence Day celebration.
“By the authority vested in me as Grand Master of the Order of Distinction, I do hereby admit you, Jeremiah Kpan Koung, into the Order of the Star of Africa with the Grade Grand Band,” the President declared in his formal proclamation on Friday, July 26, 2024. To God’s glory, wear this award with dignity and pride.
The Vice President received this accolade as part of the formal celebration of Liberia’s 177th anniversary of independence. The theme of the day was “Creating a New Liberia for Every Liberian.”
