Boakai Stabs Opposition – LP Stalwart Terns Testimony against Cummings

The National Secretary General of Liberty Party (LP), a faction of Chairman Musa Hassan Bility, Martin Saye Kollah has termed opposition Unity Party (UP) Political Leader Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s testimony against Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings was stabbed in the back of the opposition community.

The LP stalwart said it is very disgusting and disgraceful and alleged that former VP Boakai allowed himself to be used by the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) to disintegrate the opposition. Kollah made this known when he appeared live on a local radio Sky FM flagship program the 50/50 on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

“This is very disgusting and disgraceful that former Vice President  Boakai will be used by the Coalition for Democratic   Change led-government to disunite us and stab the opposition in the back while testifying against a member party of the Collaboration.” Kollah lamented.

Nobody ever expected the UP Standard-bearer will be used to shoot the opposition community in the way he is currently proceeding at the Monrovia City Court, Mr. Kollah further lamented, mentioning that the action of Amb. Boakai will see a complete re-election victory for President George Manneh Weah and his leadership comes 2023 general and legislative elections.

He maintained that the CDC led-government if re-elected will continue to inflict suffering on the Liberian people and further termed the entire CPP alleged alteration and forgery case against Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, as bogus.

He argued that Mr. Benoni Urey has failed to indicate which portion of the CPP Framework document was altered since his allegation and court proceeding against Alexander Cummings.

Mr. Kollah alleged that Mr. Urey and Amb. Boakia has been paid by the Government to destabilize the opposition community, saying that it is shameful that today Amb. Boakai is testifying against one of his own who could make President Weah a one-term President. Adding, “It is clear folks in the UP are now aware that there is a network between the government and their leaders to crucify Mr. Cummings.”

According to him,  the Liberian government used Mr. Benion Urey to take Cummings to court with the support of Amb. Boakai and today the evidence and truth are coming out because he is testifying and UP lawyers had joined the government to prosecute Cummings.

This is sad for the country, according to the LP National Secretary-General, because of the testimony of Amb. Boakai is the final attempt to make Mr. Weah President for the second time. He said this is why Mr. Boakai is graciously welcomed by the Solicitor General of the Republic of Liberia, Cllr. Syrennius Cephus in comradeship with the government.

“Nobody thought that Amb. Boakai will be the one that they will give the digger to stab the opposition community in the back. UP over the time has been saying they are not the one that sued Mr. Cummings when they are the one behind the scene fueling this whole thing. Today, we have Boakai testifying and all the UP lawyers have joined forces with the government to prosecute Mr. Cummings.

It is because of the presidential slot of the CPP that broke the collaboration because they do not want Mr. Boakai to be tested by anybody, instead handpick, leaving him with the authority to choose Senator Nyonblee Kangar-Lawrence to head the CPP ticket.
