Monrovia, Liberia – In order to show his support and give his condolences to the bereaved family, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai paid a visit to the family of the late Alhaji Amadu Sheriff in Chocolate City.
The President spoke of the late Alhaji Sheriff as a close friend, a brother, and a statesman who had greatly aided in the growth of both his community and the country, recalling their personal relationship.
President Boakai discussed Alhaji Sheriff’s extraordinary life during his visit, emphasizing his significance as a tower of strength and wisdom who, throughout his centennial journey, remained steadfastly dedicated to the welfare and advancement of Liberia. Ahaji Sheriff was not just a friend, but a brother to me.
For centuries to come, his commitment to his community and country will be recognized, according to President Boakai. The President expressed his sincere condolences to the family, pointing out that Alhaji Sheriff’s legacy will continue to motivate a great number of people in Liberia. He promised the family that the country will be there for them throughout this trying time.
As Liberia laments Alhaji Sheriff’s departure, the President has urged all people to uphold the principles of harmony, devotion, and hard work that characterized his life in order to commemorate his memory.
“As we honor the life of this remarkable man, let us pledge to uphold the principles he championed for a better, more cohesive Liberia.”
