ArcelorMittal Liberia Dedicates Rehabilitated Firestone-Kakata Road as Symbol of Community Commitment.

Kakata, Margibi County-Theย recentlyย restoredย Firestoneย toย Kakataย roadย inย Margibiย Countyย hasย beenย formallyย dedicatedย byย ArcelorMittalย Liberia, it isย theย company’sย latestย milestoneย inย itsย largerย dedicationย toย communityย developmentย throughoutย Liberia.ย  More than US$500,000 was spent to build the 28kilometer length that connects the ancient Firestone Club House on Harbel Hill with the busy city of Kakata. The project, which started in May of this year, was carried out by a Liberianowned construction company FREBENJA, under the auspices of ArcelorMittal’s Community Development Fund. AML engineers and the Ministry of Public Works provided monitoring. FREBENJA is also in charge of the road’s upkeep for the upcoming six months.
