Kakata, Margibi County-The recently restored Firestone to Kakata road in Margibi County has been formally dedicated by ArcelorMittal Liberia, it is the company’s latest milestone in its larger dedication to community development throughout Liberia. More than US$500,000 was spent to build the 28kilometer length that connects the ancient Firestone Club House on Harbel Hill with the busy city of Kakata. The project, which started in May of this year, was carried out by a Liberianowned construction company FREBENJA, under the auspices of ArcelorMittal’s Community Development Fund. AML engineers and the Ministry of Public Works provided monitoring. FREBENJA is also in charge of the road’s upkeep for the upcoming six months.
