Catholic Bishop Challenges TU Graduates to Lead With Faith, Others

Monrovia, Liberia – The Bishop of Cape Plamas Diocese, Most Rev. Andrew J. Karnley has urged graduates of the Tubman University to lead with faith Courage, and Integrity.

Serving as a guest preacher at the institution 12th Baccalaureate Service, the Catholic Bishop called on the Class of 2025 to anchor their lives in Christian character, moral courage, and faithfulness to God.

Citing global icons of servant leadership, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mother Teresa, he reminded the graduates that genuine greatness is born out of sacrifice, perseverance, and the pursuit of what is right, especially in moments of adversity.

The Bishop, also encouraged students to practice forgiveness, humility, and obedience to God’s guidance.

He further underscored the power and responsibility that come with modern technology, cautioning graduates to ensure their digital engagement mirrors their Christian values.

“Let your education and your faith guide what you share with the world,” Karnley narrated.

The head of the Cape Plamas Diocese ended the service with prayers for God’s direction over the graduates’ future paths, asking for strength in their commitment to goodness and calling them to become peacemakers and servants within their communities.

The ceremony served as a spiritual commissioning, sending the Class of 2025 into their new chapter with renewed hope and unwavering faith.
