CDC Struggles to Secure a Bond for Three Jailed Ex-Gov’t Officials.

Monrovia, Liberia – The CDC is fighting to get a bond for three imprisoned former government officials, including former Finance Minister Samuel Tweh and former Director of the Financial Intelligence Agency Stanley Ford, who are wanted.

Criminal Court A Judge Roosevelt Willie has taken over the case involving three former members of the CDC government, which was led by Weah. Among them are the Controller of the Financial Intelligence Agency, the former Solicitor General, and the former Security Advisor to former President George Weah.

According to court documents, City Court Magistrate Ben Barco ordered the case to be transferred on August 1, 2014, due to a jurisdictional dispute.

Five former government officials, including Counselor Nyenati Tuan, former Solicitor General Jefferson Karmoh, former National Security Advisor Moses Cooper, former Controller of the Financial Intelligence Agency Stanley Ford, and two others, were the targets of a Writ of Arrest on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Interpol has issued an arrest warrant for the remaining two, former Financial Intelligence Agency Director Stanley Ford and former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah, according to further information.
