Monrovia, Liberia – Two committees have been formed by the Center for Exchange of Intellectual Opinions with the goals of creating a new constitution and holding elections. Adolphus Weah, chairman of the CEIO, announced that the election committee will be in charge of holding the organization’s elections in three months and that the constitutional committee has been granted one month to prepare a new constitution.

At a press conference in Monrovia, Mr. Weah indicated that the creation of the election and constitutional committees was a result of the mediation’s success in resolving the disagreement that had rocked the organization a few weeks earlier. Mr. Weah contends that CEIO, one of the nation’s foremost intellectual institutions, ought to serve as a model for other institutions of similar stature.

Those named in the constitution committee are Saidu Nyei, Chairman; J. Cyphus Miller, Chairman; Rufus Senyon, Secretary; Patrick Wee, members and Issac Kamara; member. Those appointed to steer the elections of CEIO are Faluku Freeman, Chairman; Saidu Nyei, Co-Chairman; Alieu Sackor, Secretary, Arthur
Wahwehley, member, and Mustapha Sherman member.
