CIA to host a day reconciliation tournment, says Miller

The newly elected chairman of the Concerned Intellectual Association (CIA) has organized a one-day sports tournament for members of the association.

According to J. Cephus Miller, the one-day sports tournament is expected to commence on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the newly constructed Invincible Sports Park along the Tubman Boulevard.

He noted that the tournament is intended to bring together individuals from both sides after a crucial electoral process. He maintains that every election comes with tension among electrics as such, it is essential for Leaders to be far-sighted to organize such tournaments for the growth and development of every Institution.

The Concerned Intellectual Association (CIA) boss; also used the occasion to send a congratulatory message to members of the association who have been fasting and praying for the nation during the Holy month of Ramadan.

He appreciated them for praying for peace and tranquility; stressing that there can be no development in the absence of peace.  He said the one-day tournament will be followed by the official Induction ceremony of officials elected by the Concerned Intellectual Association (CIA). It can be recalled members of the association overwhelmingly voted for J. Cephus Miller during the April 9, 2022 elections.

Lamenting the induction ceremony, he informed his audience that the ceremony is slated for Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the association headquarters in District #10 Montserrado County. He stressed that the program is expected to witness some officials of the CDC Led government though he did not disclose the nomenclature of any officials of the government that will be in attendance for the occasion.

He lamented that renovation work at the Institution is expected to begin after the official Induction ceremony; he is at the same time called on every member of the association to found part of the renovation exercise at the Institution when called upon.  He made the statement on Monday, May 2, 2022, when members of the Muslim faith and Christian faith jointly broke the fast together at the  Institution headquarters on the VP Road, Old Road Community.
