Civil Law Court Summons VP Boakai over Land Case

Monrovia, Liberia – Former Vice President and potential presidential candidate Joseph N. Boakai has been sent a summons to appear in court on or before April 27, 2023, by resident judge Kennedy Peabody of the sixth judicial Circuit, Civil Law Court.

Judge Peabody’s writ of summons was triggered by a complaint filed against Mr. Boakai by Arnold Kandakai who resides in the United States through his Attorney In-fact Reginald Bright for a petition for removal of clouds over Title Deed.

He noted: “You are hereby commanded to summon the above-named respondent in the above-entitled case of an action to appear before the March Term, A.D. 2023, the same being the 20th Day of March A.D. 2023, at the hour of 10.00 Am.”

“You are further ordered to summon the respondent to the petitioner’s petition, on or before the 22nd day of April, A.D. 2023, failure to do so, a default judgment will be rendered against him/ her.”

Mr. Boakai is yet to respond to this latest court action.
