Cllr. Gongle surrender

Monrovia, Liberia – The leader of the Liberia People’s Party, Cllr. Tiawon Gongle, has acknowledged losing the recently concluded elections and urged his followers to remain clam. Cllr. Gongle said that while it is true that the National Elections Commission is the one claw with the authority to announce official results, they have established that their party has lost the presidential race.

The former ruling Unity Party and the current ruling Coilation for Democratic Change are clearly leading the election, he said, according to their tallying. The revelation was recently revealed by Cllr. Gongle during a press conference in Congo Town ahead of the National Election of Liberia final result.

In an effort to keep the peace, the LPP Political Leader has also urged followers of other political parties to accept the results of the elections, but he also advised the NEC to act in a professional manner. He added that whoever feel cheated following the announcement of official results by the National Election Commission should seek redress at the Supreme Court.

He maintained that after massive campaign activities carried out across the country creating awareness regarding the change the Liberia People’s Party has crafted for the people of Liberia, the electorates did not see them as authentic.
