Vows To Strengthen Global Heritage Cooperation.

Monrovia, Liberia – Jon Bricks, Liberia’s cultural attaché at the country’s embassy in the PRC, has pledged to transform Liberia’s global cultural trajectory in order to improve diplomatic ties and increase the country’s tourist industry’s potential to generate income.

According to Bricks, who spoke on Thursday, May 22, 2025, “The world is eager and willing to listen to and explore Liberia’s beautiful cultural heritage and inspiring history, but much can be achieved with diplomatic cooperation and immense culture diplomatic relations.”

As the first independent country in Africa, he asserted that Liberia offers a wealth of history, culture, and stories that the world is eager to learn and experience. He also pledged to work toward this goal in order to increase Turkish investment and income.

Bricks noted that he is hopeful that Liberia’s cultural image would be taken beyond boundaries with visitors’ attractiveness to promote mobilization of domestic resources, thanks to the assistance and dedication he is receiving from the Liberia Embassy in Beijing, particularly from the Ambassador.

They have been engaging in a number of cultural exchanges with Chinese partners, businesspeople, and students, he explained, and they have shown interest in visiting Liberia based on Liberian history and locations of historical significance in Rome.

“The world should be aware of Liberia’s rich cultural history and traditions. Remember that since Liberia’s history is significant, people all across the globe are waiting to hear it. Since my name is a grassroots one that has been ingrained in the music and traditional legacy of the nation, promoting Liberia culture is my top priority. We will draw more resources, collaboration, and investment when Liberian culture is incorporated into the effort. Therefore, he said, The Embassy here is working to ensure that we strengthen partnership to help us protect our tradition in partnership with other cultural cooperation.”

While defining Liberia’s cultural legacy as a magnificent vision, the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Liberia in China stated that the job portfolio aligns with his ambitious goal of increasing Liberia’s cultural presence worldwide.

He asserts that Liberia is a well-known country on the international scene and that there has always been a means to enhance and promote Liberian and Liberian cultural heritage.

“Don’t forget, Liberia is being know from the pottery and performance of cultural heritage and interaction on the global stage. People are willing to learn more about Liberia traditional, native mother tongue or language, and local pidgin. Liberia being the first independence nation in Africa, we have lots of story to tell. We have a unique history that go a long way. We have people that are interested. We have done many traditional events here and people have been expressing interest to come Liberia to explore. We are here to promote Liberia cultural heritage here and beyond,” he noted.
