Monrovia- The current crisis LISGIS National Population and Housing Census is facing, according to the standard bearer for the Collaborating political parties, Alexander Cummings, reflects the personality and shortcomings of the George Weah-led administration. In an interview with reporters on Thursday, November 17, 2022, in Monrovia, Cummings said that President George Weah’s lack of leadership has made the situation worse by jeopardizing the safety of the country’s suffering citizens. He claims that the frequent delays in the conduct of the Liberian census are due to a lack of trust in the methodology.
However, the CPP standard bearer argued that the government of Weah Taylor has persisted in demonstrating that it is corrupt, dangerously incompetent, inflexible, and reckless. He said it is past time for Liberians to overthrow the Weah administration in the upcoming general and presidential elections in 2023. No Liberian should have more privileges than the other, he emphasized, regardless of faith, ethnicity, or settlement. We need to make Liberia better so that we may have things like better roads, running water, and reliable energy, among other things.
He claims that although the nation has the necessary resources to advance, our leaders are instead investing in themselves rather than in us. This is something that needs to change. The ANC political leader’s declaration follows a flurry of public complaints about the census in various parts of the nation. The political leader of the ANC argued that it is insufficient to fire G. Alex M. Williams, the deputy director general for data processing at LISGIS, and Wilmot Smith, the acting director at LISGIS, for administrative reasons. He officially joined on Thursday at the Collaborating Political Parties’ Monrovia headquarters.
