Monrovia, Liberia – Davido and other entertainers are to take part in the African Youth Development Entertainment awards ceremony and performance in Liberia. The forthcoming African Youth Development Entertainment event and awards in Liberia are anticipated to feature Nigerian mega musician Davido as well as lots of other gifted and stage performers.
The Pan African Women Project Organisation is in charge of organising the event. This will be Liberia’s first time hosting an event of this kind.
Speaking to media on December 8, 2023, in Monrovia, Dr. Eno Ben Udensi, a ranking member of the Pan African Women Project Organisation, stated that the purpose of the event is to promote youth empowerment and development throughout the African continent.
She also mentioned that the awards ceremony will be held in Sinkor’s Ocean Driver Beach after the concert at Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Friday, January 19, 2024.
“This event is unprecedented opportunity for visionaries talented young African to show case their skills, network with industry professionals and gain valuable exposure on the global stage. This gathering is testament to our commitment to nurturing and empowering the next generation of leaders, artists, and change makers across the Continent.”
Dr. Udensi said that Davido’s involvement gave the event an exciting touch and that it highlights the need of empowering and encouraging the youth while showcasing their abilities and rich cultural history as well as the artistic prowess of Africa.
“This event embodies the spirit of unity, diversity and creativity that resonates deeply within Africa and it’s diaspora.”
Wilson Yeanah, CEO of Yeanah Group of Companies, also spoke at the press conference and urged Liberians to support the Pan African Women Project Organisation in order to make sure the event is a success.
Yeanah added that in order to prevent a bad impression of the nation, local artists who pass the screening procedure and are selected to play alongside Daivdo at the concert will receive excellent care.
