THAT WILL ALING WITH THE ARREST
Monrovia, Liberia – The Designated Deputy Justice Minister for Administration and Public Safety Cllr. Massa Jallabah, has declared her commitment to rebranding a strong system that would be in line with the ARREST Agenda.
She spoke on behalf of Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh, Minister of Justice on the third day of the National Joint Sectorial Portfolio Performance Review between the Liberian government and Development Partners. The Designated Deputy Justice Minister for Administration and Public Safety gave a five-minute PowerPoint presentation covering all areas of ministries and government agencies at Bella Casa hotel in Sinkor.
“A robust system branding is key for growth and development when all hands are on desk to deliver the agenda.”
The purpose and aim of the ARREST Agenda is to address financing across all sectors through conversation, coordination, management, and leadership. Cllr. Massa Jallabah commended Hon. Dehpue Y. Zuo and his team for a well-organized evaluation.
She acknowledged the efforts of Cllr. Frank Musa Dean, former Minister of Justice for a successful strive he made with the previous developmental agenda and optimistic to continue branding the Ministry.
As to her statement, more advancements in the security sector have been achieved through capacity building. This has involved training of 45 legal practitioners on the significance of probation and parole, along with educating 600 people on human rights, SGBV preventative response, and legal aid.
She mentioned that the County Attorney, clerks, and 32 prosecution staff members had received training in the Judicial Case Management system. The UN development initiatives were praised by Cllr. Massa Jallabah for their unwavering dedication, partnership, and ongoing support of Liberia’s development objectives.
Cllr. Jallabah reiterated a strong commitment to cooperation and a goal of collaborating with ministers from across government and development partners to tackle difficult priorities that combat social evils.
“We’re gathered here today to exchange ideas, work together, and discover answers to the numerous problems that plague people of all ages and from all walks of life. However, when money is directly affecting the lives of regular people, private resources and foreign direct investment are crucial for transformation.”
Cllr. Jallabah continued that over the years, projects taken over from partners have proven difficult to maintain due to lack of funding. The security communication network (INL) taken from the US government and turned over to the Ministry of Justice is facing challenges, the Designated Deputy added. She appealed for additional budgetary support to keep the project going.
