Monrovia, Liberia – The Sierra Leonean Champions Mobewmo Queens bid farewell to the competition on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the SKD as the CAF Zone A women’s Champions League preliminary qualifiers resumed. After losing 1-0 to AS Darkar of Senegal on matchday one, they were forced to settle for a humiliating nil-nil draw with AS Mandel of Mali on Wednesday, earning just one point from two games.
According to statistics, they have no chance of moving on to the next round.

The contest is now between the Malian Champion AS Manadel and the Senegalese Champions AS Darkar.
After earning just one point from two games, the Liberian Champions Determine Girls are also eliminated from the competition. In the second game, they had a lead over AS Darkar for more than ten minutes when they let up a costly penalty, resulting in a 1-1 draw, although they wasted a great opportunity.
This Friday’s action will continue with Determine Girls vs. Mobewmo Queens of Sierra and AS Darkar vs. AS Mandel as the championship match.
The contestant who wins AS Darkar and AS Mandel will move on to the following round. However, AS Mandel simply needs a draw to win the championship due to their better goal differential.
