Monrovia, Liberia – Discoveries Sports Academy defeated Mighty Enforcers 2-1 to win the 2023 National 3rd division playoffs at the ATS on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Saah Moses’ penalty kick and Jonathan Freeman’s header were both enough for the win.
Following the game, Discoveries Sports Academy also took home every individual award: Saah Moses earned Most Valuable Player (MVP), Jonathan Freeman won Top Scorer, D Elijah Kumeh was chosen as the best goalkeeper, and coach Aveiro Baryogar was chosen as the best coach of the season.
Following a 1-1 tie in regulation time, Philadelphia Lone Star defeated Wologizi FC 4-2 in a post-match penalty shootout to claim third place. Philadelphia Lone Star, Mighty Enforcers, and Discoveries Sports Academy have all been moved up to the second level.
