Along with visiting Hunan Daily News Agent, Changsha Evening News Agent, and Changsha Online, they also took a tour of Orange Isle and Jinggang Ancient Town, which collectively gave them a concrete image of the city and the growth of local media.
They experienced firsthand the innovative vibrancy and distinct charm of the new media business in the UNESCO City of Media Arts through discussions and on-site visits.

The 18 most significant national media outlets in Liberia, including the Liberia Broadcasting System, FrontPage Africa, Daily Observer Newspaper, Women Voices Newspaper, EYE TV, Reports 231, and others, signed strategic cooperation agreements with Changsha Online, the local official news website, during the closing ceremony on August 14, 2025.
The strategic collaboration agreement states that both parties will share resources to support one another and accomplish a win-win outcome. Strategic support for major news planning and reporting efforts will be the main emphasis of the collaboration.
Additionally, in an effort to collectively promote the positive tales of friendship and collaboration between China and Africa, Changsha Online and these Liberian media sites will launch pertinent articles on their platforms for free.
H. Webster Clayeh, a senior Executive Mansion reporter working for FrontPage Africa in Liberia, is full of expectations for this cooperation. “The advanced experience of Changsha Online in the digital field will greatly assist us in technological upgrade and content innovation. We believe that through close cooperation, the voices from Liberia and even Africa will be more effectively conveyed in China; and at the same time, it will also enable people in Liberia to get to know the development in China more conveniently and comprehensively.”
“This cooperation has not only provided us with an opportunity to show ourselves, but also created a platform for telling good stories in China and Africa. During this trip, we deeply experienced the local cuisine, culture and custom, and meanwhile witnessed the integration of traditional and new media.” Varney Shakeh Kamara, Supervisor Audio/Visual in Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs who has a large number of followers on social media platforms, said that in future collaborations, he would share his experience in Changsha with the people of Liberia and tell the world how beautiful Changsha is.
At the signing event, Jiang Guo, the Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Hunan Changsha Online New Media Co., Ltd., stated that the collaboration will foster friendship and understanding amongst people and provide a window to many societies and cultures.

“We expect to build a brand-new door-to-door international communication mode based on mutual resources and advantages. Besides enhancing international communication capabilities of both sides, this cooperation will open a window for different society and culture, and promote mutual understanding and friendship between the people. Connecting beyond the distance, we will tell the story of friendly cooperation between the Chinese and African and advance the sustainable development of cooperation in all areas,” Jiang Guo disclosed.
According to an old Chinese proverb, “If the communication method is appropriate, we will share the same love even if we are separated by a thousand miles.” Africa and China have a shared future and are good friends and partners. The relationship and collaboration between China and Africa depend heavily on the media on both sides. The good and ongoing strengthening of media cooperation and cultural exchanges under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is demonstrated by the collaboration between Changsha Online and Liberian media.
In addition to representing a significant advancement in the two areas’ media relations, it offers a creative and workable model for resource sharing, technical cooperation, and cross-cultural interactions between Chinese and African media. Changsha Online will continue to strengthen its partnerships with African media outlets in the near future and use technology and human capital development to promote understanding, connectedness, and advantages for both parties.
