Eleven out of Twelve juries find Cllr. Scott and three others guilty in Charloe Musu murder case

Monrovia, Liberia – Following final argument in the Gloria Musu-scott murder trial, eleven men of the twelve man panel jurors have handed down a guilty verdict against Cllr. Gloria Musu-scott on today, December 21,2023.

During the final argument, prosecution elaborated that a guilty verdict should be handed down against the defendants for the crimes of murder, criminal conspiracy, and giving false information to law enforcement officials.

Prosecution maintained that Charloe Musu was murdered by co-defendant Scott’s and other but tried to seal their crimes.

The defence attorneys presented their case, arguing that since the defendants had been falsely accused, they ought to be released.

They add that the prosecution did not provide sufficient evidence of murder, and that a charge of murder must be established beyond a reasonable doubt.

One of the key defence attorneys, Cllr. Jimmy Bombo, voiced his disappointment with the trial when the guilty decision was announced. According to Cllr. Bombo, they are going to take advantage of the laws.

For his part, Maryland county senator Gblebo Brown said he is hopeful that the law will prevail, noting that the real doers will be brought to book.
