The founder and Technical Director of ELITE Sports Academy have begun scouting kids for the Academy’s upcoming training program. The recruitment exercise according to the founder and Executive Director Jeremiah Grant is ongoing at the Invincible Sports Park in the Air Field Community and will last till the end of July 2022.
The academy Executive Director is encouraging parents who have kids between the ages of 10 – 15 years and are interested in sports especially soccer to allow them to participate in the recruitment exercise at the Invincible Sports Park every Tuesday and Thursday during the evening hours.
The grassroots football Executive Director expressed that countries that are making significant progress in major competitions in the world started from the development of grassroots football, especially at the Academy Level.
Jeremiah Grant narrated that Liberian kids are talented in all sporting activities, and as such, there is a need to fully support them financially for the improvement of the beautiful game. Liberia as a country does not lack quality players but lacked financial support and motivation from the state holders he narrated.
He expressed that players from Elite Sports academy will play friendly matches with the Academy team from neighboring Sierra Leone after the recruitment exercise and the first game will be played in Liberia. He stressed that the kids’ education is Paramount when trying to improve on their soccer talents.
The young Executive Director mentioned that the game of soccer is making a significant financial impact on the lives of athletics in the world as such, parents should motivate their kids when it comes to the game of soccer.
Following the end of the exercise, the technical Director and other officials will evaluate the best Kids among participating athletics who will form part of the Elite Sports academy, the Academy which was established in June 2021 has made a great impact on the lives of kids at the academy.
