The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia, Prof. Wilson Tarpeh has committed his institution to work along with the Federation of Liberia Youth in the fight against Climate Change.

Professor Tarpeh said in order to fight against climate change which is a global disaster; young people must be used as a medium through which the message can be spread across the country.

Recounting the many contributions by FLY, the EPA boss noted that if the Environmental Protection Agency must succeed then it is compelling, prudent, sensible, and very important enough to work with the young people of Liberia.

Speaking when a delegation of FLY paid him a courtesy call, Prof Tarpeh disclosed that FLY is a strategic partner to the EPA because young people are cardinal to the entity’s success. Remarking earlier, the President of the Federation of Liberian Youth Amos Williams thanked the EPA head for providing the young people an opportunity to sit at the Glasgow meeting which brought together world leaders and other young people to find solutions to climate change.

Williams said he was very grateful for the excellent use of strategic connections which contributed significantly to Liberia’s top recognition as a major stakeholder in the global discussion on climate change.

The FLY President encouraged the EPA’s family to do more for the betterment of the participation and full involvement of the young people at all levels in the sector.
