EPS Declares Quiwo Pepsi Yeke wanted for Illegal Possession of EPS Weapon

YEKE DESCRIBES EPS ACTION AS THREAT TO HIS LIFE

Monrovia, Liberia – Through the Executive Protection Service (EPS), the Liberian government has listed Quiwo Pepsi Yeke as wanted. Mr. Yeke served as Executive Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) in the George Weah government.

On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, former LACE boss Quiwo Yeke was listed as wanted for allegedly illegally possessing an EPS weapon that meets the following requirements: Serial #: 97344, making 73; the weapon type is the Norinco 22 Pistol, according to new EPS Director Sam Gaye.

According to the Executive Protection Service (EPS), any law enforcement official who encounters Pepsi Yeke should have him detained right away and then get in touch with the EPS.

Mr. Yeke responded by admitting that he had the firearm but pointed out that he had not received a call for a turnover from the new EPS boss. He went on to say that the new EPS chief’s statement regarding the weapon is a threat to his life. In an interview with this medium, Mr. Yeke promised to turnover the said weapon in person.
