EPS officer arrested for allegedly shooting a citizen

The Liberia National Police has arrested an Executive Protection Service (EPS) officer Patrick Kollie for allegedly shooting and killing Velantine T. Johnson at the Police Academy Junction Sunday night. The shooting incident left one person dead with the corpse deposited at the JFK Hospital.

According to the LNP, circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are being currently investigated by the Liberian National Police, while the alleged suspect remains in police custody, and promise to update the public as the investigation progresses.

Meanwhile, EPS Director Troken Roberts has confirmed the handing over of Patrick Kollie to the police. In a press release from the Executive Protection Service, Mr. Roberts at the same time extended condolence to the bereaved family for the loss of their son, Velantine T. Johnson.
