FACE Promotes Young Women Education in Liberia

Monrovia, Liberia – The Foundation for African and Caribbean Education (FACE) is greatly improving the lives of many young people in Liberia, especially women, through social assistance and education. Over the years, FACE has enrolled one hundred students at various high schools across the country and over thirty in many Liberian colleges.

These initiatives, which offer students fully paid scholarships and direct financial and social support, are significantly changing the lives of many young Liberians. At a recent gratitude dinner with one of FACE’s top supporters, Mr. Isaac Washington, a Liberian businessman and CEO of Jesus Couture LLC based in the United States, testimonies of the organization’s impact took center stage.

Beneficiaries testified during the event in Monrovia on Thursday, April 9, 2026, that without the FACE Foundation’s assistance, they would not have been able to complete their high school education and enrolled in college. African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) student Musu R. Kollie recounted her experience and declared that FACE is a transformative organization.

According to her, over thirty (30) students spread throughout colleges and vocational schools in Monrovia and its surrounding areas, and over 100 kids have registered under FACE scholarships at various high schools. In addition to scholarships, Musu stated, FACE Foundation offers students food assistance, transportation reimbursement, and other forms of social support.

“They (FACE) are always there for us. They just don’t just pay school fees and leave us alone. They provide help for the students. When any one of us gets sick, they make sure the person gets medical treatment. On a greater note is the fact that FACE also goes as far as paying our rent and taking care of our parents. For this, we are grateful to our CEO Mr. Alvin Hoff and you, Mr. Isaac Washington for committing your resources to help us at FACE Foundation” she noted.

Victoria P. Akoi, noted that a philanthropist like Mr. Washington deserves recognition for both providing his financial support and keeping an eye on the students’ progress. “You always checking on us and sending things for us. We the students highly appreciate what you continue to do for us. Along with our CEO Alvin Hoff, your support is greatly impacting and transforming our lives” student Victoria P. Akoi told the visiting CEO of Jesus Couture LLC.

Other testimonies emphasized how their association with FACE Foundation had improved their lives. A young woman from the University of Liberia acknowledged how CEO Alvin Hoff granted her $150 USD start-up fund to launch a business, and since then, nothing has been the same. She used the funds to start a soap business, which is growing every day and making enough money to pay for some living expenses and educational expenses. After her testimonial, Mr. Washington contribute an additional $200 USD to support the company’s expansion and increased profitability.

Mr Isaac Washington praised Mr Alvin Hoff, the founder and CEO of the Foundation, for his generosity and commitment to the education of young people in Liberia in an interview with state radio following his engaging session with the young people. Mr. Washington conveyed his appreciation for being a member of the foundation, highlighting how positive mentality and goals of the young people he has encountered had deeply touched him.

“When Alvin started this Foundation, he asked me say, Isaac, whenever you’re in Liberia, can you please visit the kids? Since I met and interacted with them for the first time last year, I have been left impressed by what I have seen. There is so much passion. The kids want to learn and achieve their dreams, but they need a push from people like us and that’s what we are committed to” the Liberian US based businessman emphasized.

Washington praised Alvin Hoff, the CEO of the FACE Foundation, for his enthusiasm for the organization and urged him to become involved by making donations for Liberia’s youth. In an interview with this Reports231 Media Network, Mr. Washington emphasized, “I’m so grateful to be able to be part of the FACE Foundation family.”

In order to help Liberia’s youth develop into responsible citizens, he underlined the significance of assisting young women in particular. In order to interact with FACE Foundation students and carry out more constructive projects, Mr. Washington intends to return to Liberia in December of the following year.

He added “I’m so excited today. Every time I come, it’s like a step above the step I left. And I promised you again, when I come next year or sometimes in December, it’s going to be more positive. So every time I come, I see positive things. I see good young men and good young women, trying to live a great way, that’s what made me so excited about FACE Foundation. That’s what actually pushing me to help these young people”.

A businessman like Isaac Washington’s humanitarian efforts, particularly with regard to youth education, are priceless in a society where young people have little possibilities due to poverty and a poor economy. Many students are being maintained in school to pursue undergraduate degrees because he has joined others in providing resources and information to the FACE Foundation.

When asked what motivates him to educate young people, Mr. Washington said, “Of course our country Liberia, you know our problem here. The younger people in society are frequently overlooked. For this reason, I want to make sure that, with my assistance, we can help the young men and women become good people.

According to Isaac Washington, it is his constant prayers that young people in Liberia become successful in life by doing the right thing, staying away from gangs and people who are going to corrupt their future. A non-profit organization, the Foundation for African and Caribbean Education offers financial and other forms of support to help young men and women develop life-changing skills and education.

Through educational initiatives and resource mobilization, the FACE foundation aims to educate underprivileged students, provide access to high-quality education, and assist communities throughout Africa (including Liberia) and the Caribbean.
