FC Aarau Terminates Allen’s Contract

Monrovia, Liberia – Switzerland Second Division club FC Aarau has terminated its contract with Liberian International Allen Njie on a mutual agreement. The 24-year-old Liberian moved to FC Aarua from Grasshopper Zurich in the summer of 2021 and has since hone to make 66 competitive appearances.

Due to his extended stay with his wife in the United States for personal reasons, FC Aarua announced on their official Facebook page that the Liberian international was not included in their squad for the most recent matches.

FC Aarau stated that they honour his choice. In addition, the club expressed gratitude to Allen Njie for his dedication over the last two and a half years.

Allen has acknowledged FC Aarua for the experiences and possibilities they provided him. In September 2023, Allen declined Coach Ansu Keita’s invitation to both the international friendly with Ghana and the Morocco versus Liberia match in the 2024 Nations Cup, citing personal matters.
