Paynesville City, Montserrado County – On Friday, December 5, the Liberia Football Association (LFA) headquarters successfully finished the five-day LFA/FIFA Elite Youth Goalkeeper Coaches’ Workshop.

From December 1 to 5, twenty-three (23) goalkeeping coaches successfully completed the prestigious training. Coaches participated in both theoretical and practical sessions during the rigorous course, learning vital information on subjects including goalkeeper methodology and the function of the goalie coach in contemporary football.
Alejandro Heredia, the primary FIFA instructor, emphasized during the closing ceremony that although the course was coming to an end, the participants’ actual job was only getting started. “This is not the end; this is just the beginning. You now have the responsibility to take this knowledge and train Liberian goalkeepers and change the narrative of football in this country,” he stated.

In order to raise the bar and guarantee that the upcoming generation of Liberian keepers can successfully compete on the international scene, he advised the participants to apply the specialist expertise.
Mustapha Raji, the president of the LFA, commended the participants on their attendance as well as their devotion to football development, which is a clear indication of their commitment to the game’s future in Liberia. The President then reemphasized his administration’s unwavering pledge: “Developing football at all levels remains the cornerstone of our mandate.”

He gave the coaches the assurance that the Association would assist them in putting the particular training they had received into practice. Lastly, he expressed his appreciation to the teachers for generously giving their priceless expertise and recognized FIFA’s fundamental support for the entire project.
Nathaniel Sherman, speaking on behalf of the twenty-three coaches, thanked the LFA for planning the public training and for its ongoing commitment to football development. He also expressed his gratitude to Alejandro and Cameroon Cox, the FIFA instructors, for sharing their knowledge, cutting-edge methods, and specialized approaches over the course of the five days.
The coaches confirmed that the specialized training had given them the skills necessary to carry out their responsibilities at their clubs and national teams.
