FOMTUL condemns attacks on three of its ranking members

The recent assaults on its President John Kenyor and two other institution executives have been harshly denounced by the Federation of Motorcycle and Tricycle Union of Liberia (FOMTUL).

According to a FOMTUL press release dated Monday, December 5, 2022, individuals wearing National Federation of Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Liberia (NAFOMTAL) uniforms attacked Isaac Johnson, Secretary General, and Duwor Mulbah, Vice President for Operations, on December 1, 2022, at the intersection of Carey and Johnson streets at around noon.

In the announcement, it was also mentioned that NAFOMTAL members Stephen Weah, Elijah Ola, and Alvin Snawolo had been found among the attackers. In addition, according to a statement from FOMTUL, their VPO Duwor Mulbah’s phone was shattered during the incident, and the remaining officials all had serious injuries to various body parts.

At the same time, FOMTUL is pleading with President George Weah, civil society groups, and international allies to take quick action in the situation, underlining that their leadership continues to promote the sustainability of Peace before, during, and after elections.
