    Foreign Minister Nyanti Attends AU 44th Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

    Monrovia, Liberia – The 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council is being attended by Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, who is also in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to represent President Joseph Nyuma Boakia as the head of the Liberian delegation at the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State.

    Along with other African ministers of foreign affairs and dignitaries from all over the continent, Minister Nyanti left the country on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

    The 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council is scheduled to take place from February 14–15, 2024, at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, according to a dispatch from the Foreign Ministry.

    Reports from the ministerial meeting held during the period under review by the African Union Commission will be adopted by the African Ministers of Foreign Affairs.

    In the meantime, February 17–18, 2024, is set aside for the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government.

    In preparation for the 37th Ordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, which begins on February 17, 2024, leaders of numerous African nations are traveling to Addis Ababa.

    On Wednesday, prominent figures from the governments of South Africa, Namibia, Benin, Sierra Leone, Algeria, Angola, Djibouti, Liberia, South Sudan, and Namibia gathered here.
    Foreign ministers, as well as the presidents, vice presidents, and prime ministers of each delegation, are in attendance.

    As the delegations arrived at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airports, they were greeted warmly by top Ethiopian government officials and an AU Commissioner.
