Capitol Hill, Monrovia – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, has sent a special envoy to congratulate Liberia on its successful election to the UN Security Council. Amb. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia, received the team and message on behalf of President Boakai.
The Saudi government explicitly sent His Excellency Ambassador Saad Alqathami to meet with Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, where he delivered the message. In the course of Liberia’s tenure on the UNSC, the Saudi diplomat also conveyed his nation’s intention to expand collaboration and consultations with Liberia on matters of global peace and security. He also suggested that the two nations will examine ways to strengthen diplomatic ties at this crucial point in the geopolitical landscape.

Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti responded by thanking the Saudi Arabian government for both the special envoy’s visit to Liberia and for backing the country’s election to the UNSC. She informed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of Liberia’s willingness to engage in political consultation and collaboration with the Saudi government, and at the same time reassured them of Liberia’s dedication to global peace and security.
Minister Nyanti described Liberia’s economic diplomacy agenda in response to Saudi Arabia’s interest in learning how the two nations can improve their cooperation. She said, Liberia will also look into ways to improve trade, commerce, and economic ties as well as the sharing of knowledge and experience. The Liberian diplomat underlined the significance of President Joseph Nyuma Boaka’s infrastructure achievements and looked for a means to continue the conversation concerning these accomplishments.
