Former Lawmaker Gray Criticize GoL’s Decision to Increase Rice Prices

Monrovia, Liberia -Former lawmaker for Montserrado County District #8, Acarous Moses Gray has referred to the increase of Indian Parboiled Rice (5% Broken) from USD$16.75 to USD$18.50. as a catastrophe for the Liberian people.

The Former Lawmaker Criticized the Boakai government decision to agree with rice importers to increase Rice Prices, which he noted as a direct effect to the Liberian populace.

The Unity party administration was referred to as a group of financial gangsters by former Representative Gray, who said that the Indian government had started charging an additional 20% tax on rice exports in 2022.

He stress that the Boakai administration is not fit to deliver the Liberian people as stated in their manifesto in 2023.
