Former National Road Fund employees protest against Alleged wrongful dismissal

MANAGEMENT CHARACTERISES DEMONSTRATION AS POLITICAL MOTIVATION.

Monrovia, Liberia – Early on Tuesday morning, January 2, 2024, some former National Road Funds employees erected barricades at the institution’s entrance in protest of what they claimed to be an unfair discharge from the company by its CEO, Joseta Wento.

Other vehicles were not permitted to enter the institution property by the group of road funds workers who parked their cars in front of the entrance.

They claimed that the organization’s head sent a memo to several employees indicating that they were being let go because the organisation was moving on to a new project that could not support them.
