Gbehzohngar Endorses Weah Re-election

AHEAD OF 2023 RUNOFF

Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County – Grand Bassa County 2023 Senator-Elect Gbehzohngar Milton Findley has endorsed President George Manneh Weah’s re-election bid in the 2023 runoff. Gbehzohngar won the senatorial seat by 55,629, or 52.24% of the votes in that part of Liberia. President George Weah of the CDC, who won the first round of the 2023 presidential election with 804,087, or 43.83%, is going to a runoff with UP Joseph N. Boakai, who obtained 796,961, or 43.44%, in the second round.

Grand Bassa residents have agreed that he supports the CDC candidate and have promised to back him, according to the newly elected senator from Grand Bassa. It is documented that Findley was a member of President Weah’s CDC administration at one point in time, but he quit to pursue other political goals, which brought him to his current position. During the first three years of the Weah administration, Findley was the Foreign Minister.

The public is concerned as to who will deliver the county to either the CDC or UP when two prominent sons and daughters of Bassa support the two leading political parties going for a runoff. It is established that the Liberty Party Political Leader and Grand Bassa County female lawmaker, Senator Nyonblee Kangar-Lawrence, supports and leads the campaign team of the Unity Party. While Gbehzohngar Milton Findley, formerly of the Coilation for Democratic Change, returns to the CDC and is supporting the ruling establishment.

In his speech on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Gbehzohngar encouraged the people of Bassa to vote Weah for more developments and opportunities.
