Jeety Spreads Christmas Cheer To Inmates, Children

Monrovia, Liberia – On Christmas Day, Upjit Singh Sachdeva, the owner of Jeety Rubber LLC and Salala Rubber Corporation (SRC), joined hundreds of Liberians in many locales, such as South Beach, Kakata Prisons, and his recently acquired SRC in Margibi.

Food distribution, gift distribution, and sincere sentiments of optimism, patriotism, and togetherness were all part of the celebration, which intended to share happiness and generosity in honor of the holiday season.

Throughout the day, 3,000 prisoners from South Beach and Kakata prisons as well as underprivileged teenagers (Zogoes) on Center Street had hot meals of rice, soft drinks, and water. Additionally, 5,000 presents were distributed to children from all of the SRC plantation’s camps.

At the Monrovia Central Prison, he was once again welcomed with cheers for his charitable endeavors and dedication to the prison center. Several convicts praised him for always keeping them in mind during significant holidays. He is also known as Jeety.

After the celebrations at South Beach, Jeety and his group traveled to Kakata prison, where they once more provided food for the prisoners, who frequently felt abandoned by their loved ones over the holidays.

“This is a day of joy, a day to celebrate togetherness as such,” Jeety said in his remarks at these sites. “Giving back to the people of Liberia always brings me joy.” It is how I express my gratitude for all of the love and support this lovely nation has given me.”

Additionally, Christmas is a season of reconciliation and fresh starts, and regardless of your past, there is always hope for a better future. I think you have the capacity to transform and make a constructive contribution to society, particularly your nation.

Known for his humanitarian services to society, Jeety started feeding hundreds of Liberians at his Vai Town residence more than seven years ago, marking the beginning of his engagement in prison outreach.

After learning about the difficulties encountered by those who are detained, Jeety began delivering food to the prison, feeding some underprivileged young people (zogoes), and then he extended his generosity to other of the counties, including Margibi and hospitals.

Given that many prisoners are separated from their families as a result of crimes they have done, Jeety has since made it his goal to make sure that no prisoner feels overlooked or left out during any time of thankfulness and celebration (holidays).

Every holiday, including this year’s Christmas, Jeety leads his staff in making sure that inmates have an unforgettable experience. They put forth endless effort to prepare and wrap the meals, making sure that the recipients receive a tasty and thoughtful gift to make their day.

Beyond the celebrations, Jeety has demonstrated his dedication to the convicts’ well-being by providing them with flowing water, bowls or plates to eat from, and other necessities on several occasions.

Meanwhile, the celebrations of Christmas also continued at his newly bought Salala Rubber Corporation (SRC), where Jeety invited employees and their families to join in the festivities, through the distribution of gifts to their children.

Despite a number of difficulties, the plantation one of the biggest producers of rubber in Weala, Margibi has been a major employer for many people in the area ever since Jeety took control.

Families gathered at different points of access to each camp, and Jeety made his way through the gathering, talking to staff members and their families, telling them tales, and thanking them for their devotion and hard work.

The focus today is on community, family, and giving back. Being a member of this community makes me proud, and I want to make sure that everyone feels loved and respected. He said, “This company is successful because of your hard work, and I am thankful for each and every one of you.”

In separate remarks, the superintendents of the South Beach and Kakata prisons, together with family members, all acknowledged Jeety’s kindness and declared, “His contributions have made a real difference in the lives of many.”

“He also recognizes the difficulties we encounter and is always eager to assist. We consider ourselves lucky to have him among us, and we anticipate many more years of his thoughtful actions and the proving of our country,” they added.
