Monrovia, Liberia – According to the Liberian government, the County Development Agendas (CDAs) and the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) officially be launch on January 15 in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, Sr., will preside over the ceremonial introduction of the development frameworks (the CDAs and the AAID), which will be a significant step in the country’s progress toward inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development.

Liberia’s all-encompassing plan for national change is the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (2025–2029). For all Liberians, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations, it presents an integrated strategy to development that prioritizes the nation’s top priorities: roads, agriculture, rule of law, education, sanitation and health, and tourism.

A wide range of stakeholders from all fifteen counties participated in the lengthy consultation process that produced the ARREST Agenda. These stakeholders included government ministries, the private sector, academia, civil society organizations, local communities, and international partners.

In order to determine the goals, objectives, and difficulties of the Liberian people, a number of national consultations were held in 2024 to kick off the process. By tackling important development issues and utilizing Liberia’s special resources for revolutionary progress, the plan is made to meet the specific goals of the people.

Liberia’s dedication to a democratic and open development plan that puts the welfare of all citizens especially those living in rural and underdeveloped areas first is reflected in this inclusive approach according to the Unity Party led government.

The event will bring together important members of the Liberian government, including ministers and officials from several sectors, to discuss the plan’s operationalization and strategic goals, according to a Ministry of Finance and Development Planning announcement. Representatives from Liberia’s Development Partners and local officials from all around the country will also be there, demonstrating the widespread support for this revolutionary program.

At the launch, President Boakai will give the keynote address, highlighting the importance of cooperation, national cohesion, and group effort in achieving the ARREST Agenda.

The president will present his vision for a thriving, inclusive Liberia where all people have the chance to succeed, regardless of their background, the government expressed.
