Harmon D. Yalartia, Morning Star Emerge Champions as ISSA Zone-3 Ends 2025/26 Season

Monrovia, Liberia—The 2025–2026 School League season organized by the Inter School Sports Association (ISSA) Zone-3 has ended with a colorful grand finale honoring excellence, discipline, and remarkable achievements from participating schools. The season showcased the skills of young athletes from schools near Zone-3, with fierce competition in both football and kickball in the Junior and Senior High categories.

The junior high kickball division was won by Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School, while the senior high division was won by Lights Academy School. In football, Morning Star School won the Senior High title following a strong campaign, while Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School achieved an amazing double by capturing the Junior High title.

Additionally, a number of institutions and people were honored for their outstanding accomplishments during the season. Due to its dedication to fair play and sportsmanship, Mother Victoria School was selected as the Junior High division’s Most Disciplined School. While George K. Dorbor Jr. of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Lionel DePaul of Calvary Chapel were named Best Sports Directors in their respective divisions, Daniel L. D. Yambi Sr. of Mother Victoria School and James B. M. Teahn of School of Prime System were named Best Administrators.

In kickball, Susannah K. Torlah and Victor Marshal Jr. were named Best Coaches in the Junior and Senior High divisions, respectively. Ruth Tumey of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Esther Weamah of Morning Star School earned Most Valuable Player honors for their outstanding performances during the season.

Eddie B. Gaydeh of Morning Star School and Emmanuel Q. Weeks of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School were named Best Coaches in the football honors. The Junior High division’s Most Valuable Players were Elijah S. K. Nyemah and the Senior High division’s Samuel Flomo.

The best scorers in the Junior and Senior High categories were Joshua G. Boe of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Emmette Kollie of Calvary Chapel, while Joseph King and Cyrus Nyenkoon were named Best Defenders. Willie Kota and Philip William were named the season’s best goalkeepers. The campaign’s successful conclusion in 2025–2026 demonstrated once more how crucial school sports are to the development of young talent, discipline, and healthy student competitiveness.

ISSA Zone-3 commended all parties involved for making the season successful and unforgettable and congratulated all champions, award winners, coaches, administrators, sports directors, and participating schools on their accomplishments. Now that another great campaign has come to an end, focus shifts to the 2026–2027 season, when anticipation for yet another fascinating chapter in school sports is already growing.
