Honduras Establishes Diplomatic Ties with China

Beijing, China – It is reported that China and Honduras have signed a diplomatic tie. According to GLOBALink, after Honduras declared on Saturday, March 25, 2022, that it had severed the so-called “diplomatic relations” with the Taiwan authorities, China and Honduras signed a joint communique in Beijing on Sunday, March 26, 2022, creating a diplomatic relation.

Taiwan’s self-ruled island democracy has suffered a setback in its quest for recognition as Honduras has officially severed diplomatic ties with it and established diplomatic relations with China.

The People’s Republic of China’s government is recognized as the representative of all of China, according to a statement released on Saturday by the Republic of Honduras’ foreign affairs office.

The government of Honduras informed Taiwan of the break in diplomatic ties as of today, and it continued, “Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory,” according to CNN.
